Sushi Lunch

Today is the last day of Sushi King Card Bonanza, I went with Jason, Roy & Chooi Lee. All the rice-based sushi on Kaiten belt for only RM2.00 per plate. We reached there at 12pm and finished at 1pm. We just spent 1 hr for our lunch becasue they served limited varieties.

Total we ate 24 plates of sushi only. If there is no promotion, this lunch will cost us RM107.00, but now we just spent RM48.00 for sushi :P

今天，我心血来潮和同事一起去KLCC吃午餐。吃饱后，我们经过concourse level看到人山人海，很多人在排队，还有很多的闪光灯，于是我们就跑去看看到底是哪位大明星。你们猜猜看是谁？

原来他们就是BMW Sauber F1 的Nick Heidfeld 和 Robert Kubica 。其实我也不知道他们是谁，很多人拍照，我又跟着拍咯！拍完照回去公司google search才知道原来他们是F1明星呢！幸好没错失这次的大好机会。。。哈哈哈!

那些粉丝在排队拿偶像签名。好长的龙哦！对不起F1粉丝，我真的搞不清楚谁是谁，我只会拍照吧了！:P
有谁知道的话请告诉我，谢谢你们哦！

树叶粘在那里？

昨天，当我看见一片树叶在地上时，我问了JD一个很简单的问题，问题是：

叶子是粘在什么地方？

JD毫不犹疑就回答，叶子是粘着树咯。我又在问他，哪树粘着什么？他想了一想就回答，树是粘着叶子咯！他的答案很直接。

当我用回同一个问题去问KV, 答案就有一点不同呢。

KV的答案是：

叶子是粘这树咯！

树就不是粘着地啦！

比起JD, 这个答案可以说是比较真确。

当一个简单的问题，去问不同年龄的人，就有不一样的答案。

所以，人长得越大，思想就会变得复杂起来。有时候，简单的思想和答案不一定是错，只是你身边的人，思想比你复杂吧了！

上个星期六, KV去了Klang Parade参加他们所举办的Kids Next Top Model Contest. 比赛分为两个环节. 第一个环节是Casual Wear + Talent performance. 第二环节是Evening Wear + Catwalk.

在比赛前, 除了KV要忙着练习舞蹈和猫步以外, 我们做父母的也为她而忙. 我们要忙载她去练习, 忙为她选服装, 为她做心理辅导.

在比赛时, 忙为她换服装和拍摄, 又担心她在台上是服装出状况, 或有意外发生, 还有...很多...很多的担心和顾虑.

幸好这次的比赛很顺利, KV也为她自己累积了多一些的经验和多了一个奖杯.

New Toy

SHELL Malaysia launched its latest set of five limited edition Shell-Ferrari model cars recently. The five Shell-Ferrari model cars available in the latest Shell-Ferrari collection are the 430 Scuderia, FXX Evoluzione, 599 GTB Fiorano, 612 Scaglietti and the 360 GTC.

I already collected 4 cars out of 5, but I just gave one of my collection car to JD as a reward to him. Because he has finished a whole book of the arithmetic exercise... hahaha!

我教孩子的方法就是, 要付出才有回报. 还有的是，现在KV已经明白了, 有时候付出了不一定会有回报的道理, KV是从她在比赛中领会到这个道理. 她也明白比赛不是为了成绩而是为了摄取经验.

Guitarist

After JD attended the JMC course, KV also want to join music lessons. She wants to learn piano as well. But I told her, since I'm attending the courses with JD, must well I teach you when I'm return from the courses. I told her if you really wants to learn musical instrument, you can choose other instrument to learns, then she replied she wants to learn violin. I said ok, let me do some survey first before let you to learns.

So during weekend, I and HM went to few music centre to find out more info about the violin courses. After the survey, I found out that violin is not easy to learn and I recommended KV to learns guitar. I told her guitar is more easy to learns then violin and both look similar ... hahaha!! She said ok also, because she got few friends learning guitar too.

A week after, before I enrol her and buy the guitar, I let her attended the trial class first. After the trial class, she was very enjoying the guitar lesson. So what I'm did next was ... paid course fee and bought a guitar for her lor ... tell you a secret, becasue I like guitar too ... hahahah!!!

I told KV that, in future if you wants to quit guitar course, at least you need to pass two grade exams, if not you will waste my money in course fees and the guitar. Actually I just want to encourage her so that she will not easily give up.

Exhibition

For the past two weeks, my company was participated in the furniture exhibition at MAEPS (Malaysia Agro Exposition Park, Serdang). I'm was there for 3 days to help 'jaga' booth. I was quite boring in the booth because not many visitors and only few enquiries. Luckily when no visitor or enquiry, I can chit chat with my colleagues.

Junior Musical Course

JD was enrolled in the Yamaha Junior Music Course (JMC). This coming Saturday will be his 2nd lesson. Every lesson is 1 hr.

JMC focuses on the development well-rounded musical ability – through listening, singing, keyboard/piano playing, reading, writing, and creating. Course areas including Solfege, Singing, Lyric Singing, Keyboard Games, Repertoire, Ensemble (singing, rhythm, and keyboard), Harmony/Arrangement, Music Appreciation, Rhythm Training and Workbook(Reading/Writing).

The course takes two years to complete and consists of 4 levels. In these two years, I need to accompany JD for every lesson. Not bad also, because I can learn together... pay one price for two person attend ... hahaha!!!

上个星期天, 我为KV & JD 庆祝生日. 今年是KV七岁生日, JD是四岁生日. 其实JD的生日是在四月份, 而KV就是在三月份, 俩个人的生日太接近了, 就干脆一起庆祝吧!

我没请太多人, 只是我岳母一家人和我自己一家人. 也当作是两家人的一个聚餐会 :D

小手术

在新年期间，我和HM约了一班旧同学聚会。在这个聚会里，有80%都是已婚和有小孩，那我们的话题总是离不开家庭与小孩，其中一个话题就是掉牙。那时候，我就跟我一位妈妈级的朋友（小微）提到，KV的门牙掉了半年都不会长出来。小微就叫KV翻开给她看，她看见KV的牙肉有点积血，就问我们会不会是牙齿生不出。我就跟她说，前几个礼拜看过牙医，牙医说是OK的，但是那时候牙肉上没有积血。小微提醒我们带KV再看多一次牙医。

吃完这餐午餐聚会，我就带KV再去看牙医。见到牙医后，我就跟牙医说KV的情况，牙医就建议先照x-ray，看看有没有牙齿藏在里面。X-ray出来的结果是，牙齿完整的藏在里面，牙肉挡着它长不出来。牙医建议KV做一个小手术，在牙肉上开一个小洞，让牙齿自然长出来。但是，这个手术不可以当天做，因为要Senior牙医才会做。我就make appointment第二天做这个手术。

第二天早上，吃了早餐，我又带KV去看牙医。这位Senior牙医已经知道KV的情况，检查后她就为KV准备动手术. 牙医先打麻痹针在KV的牙肉上, 那时候KV忍不住痛, 就哭了起来. 那牙医和护士连忙安抚KV, 过了一回, 麻痹药开始产生作用, 牙医就开始动手术. 牙医在KV的牙肉部位沿着那颗牙齿割了一刀, 然后在用手术刀在那颗牙齿里面, 割除那些黏着牙齿的肉. 这个动作重复做了几次, 才完整割去那些黏着牙齿的肉. 这次手术大该用了半个小时. 总花费是RM275.00. 一个星期后再回去做检查. 现在, 牙齿已经长出来了!

人过三十，慢慢会觉得皮肤会越来越差，面部皮肤和肌肉稍微有点下垂。天啊！这种东西为什么会发生在我身上呢？

到了这个地步，想不保养都不行。在朋友的介绍下（Chooi Lee & Sarah）和明查暗访，昨天，我决定去买Kiehl's来试一试。听说这产品来自美国，超过150年历史。经过salesgirl 的讲解，我买了以下的产品。

Blue Herbal Gel Cleanser & Blue Herbal Moisturizer 是我用的，可以帮助控制脸油。Rare-Earth Oatmeal Milk Facial Cleanser & Yerba Mate Tea Lotion 是HM用的。还有Calendula Herbal-Extract Toner 是我和HM share share 用的。

除了这些以外，我还有用着其他护肤品，有Laneige Water Bank Essence, Laneige Day & Night Eye Treatment Cream, Laneige Star White Multi-Proctector, Kiehl's Pineapple Papaya Facial Scrub & Perfect Renew Sleeping Treatment (Mask). 看起来好像很多吗？其实不算多啦，最basic的护肤品罢了。
那位Salesgirl 还给我一些sample试用。有Over-Night Biological Peel, Rare Earth Facial Cleansing Masque, Abyssine Eye Cream, Brightening Botanical Hydrating Mask, Superbly Restorative Body Lotion & Abyssine Cream + SPF23.

最后就是这瓶Clarins Shaping Facial Lift. 这瓶东西是Chooi Lee的特别介绍，可以改善脸部的淋巴循环系统，排毒和瘦脸。哈哈哈，我最喜欢就是那个瘦脸功效，因为我脸总是肿肿的。希望用了可以有改善。

经过一个多月的春眠, 我终于醒来了(大笑)! 其实都是新年惹的祸, 害我懒惰下来. 在新年其间, 休息时间多了, 吃多了, 思想能力就慢慢的降低了很多, 想来想去都不知道要BLOG些什么?!?!

直到前几天, 有些朋友CALL我, 他们以为我人间消失了, 那么久都没有BLOG. 真的不好意思, 让他们担心. OK, 答应你们,我不会再偷懒了. 从今天开始, 我会把有的; 没的... 都BLOG, 哈哈哈!

Pulpectomy 牙髓摘除术

Yesterday, I bought KV to dentist for a dental check-up. Because she always complaints that her got oral pain. In the afternoon, right after her mental & arithmetic examination, I bought her to dentist which was near the mental & arithmetic centre.

In the dental clinic, we were very luckily, because no other patient was there and after the registration, we straight entered the consultation room. Yesterday was a young and pretty female dentist on duty. KV pointed out the pain area and the dentist did an oral check on her. After checking, the dentist informed us that KV got a dead tooth and this caused oral infection.

The dentist recommanded two ways to solve the problem. (1) remove the dead tooth or (2) Pulpectomy. She advised pulpectomy is more suitable for children and no pain. The main reason I chose pulpectomy was NO pain. (so that I could easily handle KV... lol)

The dentist was very nice & pro. For every tool/equipment she used, she informed KV first and made some funny explanation so that KV won't afraid of all the tools. The whole treatment took about 20 mins and cost RM50.00 with free tooth-brush and tooth-paste (hihihi).

The explanation of pulpectomy:
The removal of necrotic pulp tissue followed by filling the root canals with resorbable cement.

Treatment Objectives for Primary Tooth Pulpectomy
• (1) Maintain the tooth free of infection,
• (2) Biomechanically cleanse and obturate the root canals,
• (3) Promote physiologic root resorption, and
• (4) Hold the space for the erupting permanent tooth.

Before the treatment, KV was rested on the treatment chair.
During the treatment, KV with a mouth wide opened.

The treatment almost finished. Poor KV, no mood at all.

Mobile Showroom

This was my first time saw this truck moving along Jln Ampang. What is this?

Few days ago, when I'm on my way back from work, this truck stop beside my car because of wait at the traffic light. I was so surprise and like a 'orang kampung' (大乡里), what is this truck for? When I saw it in detail then only realised it was a mobile showroom.

Here is the definition of Mobile Showroom: An aquarium-like design doubles as a Mobile Showroom, be it for road shows or showcasing a 3D display of the advertisement! Advertisers simply need to customize the truck to suit their needs, and personally drive it to their desired locations!

Cowboy Dance Performance

Last Sunday, KV went for two talent competitions at Selayang Capitol & Brem Mall respectively. KV performed her new dance - Cowboy Dance in the talent session and followed by a catwalk with 'Cheong Sam'. In both competition, KV won the special prizes. Congrats to KV :D

First Day in School

Today was the first day that KV attending primary school after the orientation day. From today onward, KV has to wakes up at 6am and by 6.30am we have to send her to school. Everyday I will sending her to school before I go to work. After school, I have arranged the daycare's teacher to fetch her back to daycare centre. After work, I will fetch her from there. So KV will stays at daycare and the teacher will guides her to do homeworks.

I ate nasi lemak in the canteen at RM1.00 per plate.

KV had lunch in the canteen. We have pre-paid the lunch expenses. The seat was fixed and they will be sitted according to their name.

今早八点钟，我去了Megan Avenue 应付一个信托基金考试。这个考试是叫Computerised Unit Trust Examination (CUTE). 其实一个月前，我已经报名了，但是往往拖到最后一分钟才读书，害怕到整个晚上都睡不着。幸亏，我可以考到及格，如果不是的话，就白白浪费了RM300+的报名费呢。

过了这关，还有很多课程要上。真的好戏在后头咯！

为了孩子们的将来，要多多努力！加油！

这个星期，KV为了在下个星期天的舞蹈比赛，正在排练新舞蹈。她实在太喜欢跳舞，连跳到大腿肌肉疼痛都不敢给我们知道。

今早，我们去面包店买面包时，她蹲下拿东西过后，动作很慢的站起来，我就问她，你的腿怎么啦？那时候，她犹疑了一下，才跟我坦白的说是跳舞弄伤的。我听了过后很心疼，因为，她为了这次的比赛付出了很多。她为了把这只舞蹈跳好，腿痛也要练下去。

买了面包过后，我们就去Pharmacy买了一支药膏给她擦。还命令她今天休息一天，不准练舞。

这支药膏是pharmacist 介绍的，适合儿童使用。

First Day In Primary School

Today was KV's first day in Primary school. The school was given the orientation to all the new Std. 1 students. We reached school about 7.30am and the orientation started at 8am. All the parents and students were gathered in the hall and the principal delivered a speech and informed parents about the school's rules and activities. Once it was finished, we went back to the classroom and submit all the forms together with payment about RM200+ for all the misc school charges. We settled everything and left school about 10.30am.

KV took photo in the early morning. She was still sleepy.We having lunch at Mdm Kwan KLCC, KV was so happy.

Little Santa Rina Fancy Dress Competition

On the Christmas Eve, KV participated in the Little Santa Rina Fancy Dress Competition at Brem Mall, Kepong. The Kepong Brem Mall is a new hot spot located next to the Crystal Crown Hotel along Jalan Kepong & the inter-change of Jalan Kuching /Jalan Ipoh.

It was the 3rd time KV participated in fancy dress competition and it was the first time she won 1st runner-up. In the competition, she need to performs a talent performance (can be singing or dancing) and follow by a catwalk with christmas costume. In the talent performance, KV was performed Indian Dance which was same as the previous competition.

The competition started at 7.30pm and ended about 9.30pm. Total 13 contestants participated.

We were at Marrybrown waiting for KV's teachers.
All contestants were on stage with their beautiful costumes. Some of the contestants were tailored made their own costume and cost them few hundred ringgit. KV's costume was rented from her teacher and cost RM50.00 per set.

D.I.Y Beads Bracelets

Last Saturday, KV went to the beads' shop (wholesaler) in KL town to learns how to make beads bracelets.

You can learn it for free as long as you buy material & tools from them. They have few salespersons whose will standby in the shop to teach customers. All salespersons are very friendly, helpful and patiant. They taught KV step by step and it was very easy to learn.

Next week, KV will go there again to learns new techniques.
Here were the bracelets that KV has made. The colourful & pink colour bracelets were made for herself. The black-grey-white bracelet was for HM.

KV has made another two more bracelets, one for her Auntie Yen (姑妈) as birthday present and one for her lovely Yiyi (姨姨) MinYee.

冬节大过年

昨天,就是比过年还要大的冬节. 早上在家拜了神过后.我们就先去Sunway Pyramid逛街. 到了5点多,我们就去G.E. Mall 吃日本料理. 今年是我们第一次在冬节吃日本料理. 感觉很新鲜. 吃完团圆饭后, 我们在G.E. Mall 随便逛逛.到了八点多才回家. 完成一天的行程.

Yesterday, I & HM spent about 15mins in one of the sport store, we bought 4 pairs of shoes. The sport store having bargain sales and surprisingly the store no other customer. The promoter served us very well and efficient. That's why we finished the transaction within such a short time. We bought all the shoes for less than RM300 and all shoes entitled for 40% to 50% discount. HM's white sandals & black rubber shoes (the material similar to Crocs), total cost less than RM100.

This is my white Nike shoes & Riders flip-flop cost less than RM200.

Tumbler 16oz

Few days ago, I got these limited edition Starbucks tumblers from Ida. These limited edition tumblers were released in conjunction with the 10th Anniversary Starbucks Coffee in Malaysia. I bought three tumblers and cost me RM30.00 only. Very cheap.

In the photos, the white colour & red colour cups were cost RM28.00 each. These were the limited edition as well for X'mas. But the cups were not belongs to me, I just borrowed from my colleague for photo shooting only... hihihii.

Here, I want to say thanks to Ida for helping me bought these limited edition tumblers :D

Stila Workshop

On 6 Dec 2008, I accompanied HM to attend a makeup workshop organised by Stila. HM seldom put on makeup because she doesn't know how to makeup. After this workshop, HM learnt some basic techniques and now she able to do some simple makeup on her own. Even I learnt it from this workshop too.

Some basic steps taught in this workshop.

First, to apply illuminating tinted moisturizer spf 15. Use it as a makeup base.

Next, to apply sheer color tinted moisturizer SPF 30. Use it as foundation.

Next, use illuminating concealer to conceals facial flaws like blemishes, dark circles and discoloration.

Next, put a thin layer of illuminating powder foundation to set the makeup.

Next use the convertible eye color for eye makeup. This versatile, dual-ended eye color wand is a sleek, pen-shaped makeup ace that has an eye pencil on one end and a smudging tool on the other. Twist the middle and there you have the perfect coordinating eye shadow ready for application.

Next, use the curler & major lash mascara for the eyelashes.

Next, use the convertible color to brightens cheeks and lips.

Finally, use the lip glaze for the lips.

The workshop took about 2 1/2 hours to finished. After the workshop, some light refreshment was served. The refreshment was prepared by Zang Toi Cafe.

End of the workshop, every participant received a silk shimmer gloss and a complimentary makeover voucher.

Last week, we had a 3 days 2 nights trip to Melaka. In the Sunday morning, we went to the A Famosa Resort, Melaka first, because KV has to participate in an Arithmetic Competition. We didn't spent much time there becasue the whole day was a rainy day. We checked in hotel around 3pm. We stayed in the hotel until dinner time, then went to dinner. The kids couldn't get out to swim due to raining. The whole day raining, raining, and raining... sigh!

The second day, still raining from morning to evening. So we spent most of the time for shopping.

The third day was a sunny day. The kids were able to enjoy swimming in the morning. We left Melaka around 1pm.

After dinner, we bought some local food at this Melaka famous shop.

After a busy day, finally the kids enjoying their fun time at the hotel swimming pool. Unfortunately, the water was very cool and windy. So their just spent about 10 mins there.

Due to the cold water in the swimming pool, the kids went back to hotel room continue their fun time.

The third day was a sunny day. Before we check out, the kids have a final swimming session.

A 100th Anniversary

Last Saturday, HM's company celebrating their 100th Anniversary at Mandarin Oriental Hotel. More than 1,300 staff attended. Spouse is not invited, so I have to stay home and take care of KV & JD lor :(

HM has been joining this company for more than 10 years. Do you think 10 years are a long period? The answer is ... (depands on your justification... hahaha). HM told me that some of her colleagues have been working with the company for more than 20 years or even 30 years. OMG! The company should appreciate these kind of loyalty staff.

Ballet Trial Assessment

Last Sunday, KV attended a Ballet Trial Assessment at her ballet school. After a few months learning of new syllabus, this assessment is to let the student know what suppose to do in the real examination. The real exam will be around next year March. So the student still got few months to practises and enhance their technical skills.

The parents were invited to sit thru this assessment and I got the chance to take some photos and video. In the assessment, the teacher also explained in detail to the parents what the students have learnt in the class. The assessment took about 45mins to finish.

DIY Hair Accessories

HM did some DIY accessories for KV. HM learnt it from a Taiwan TV Show "Good Idea". The little pink flowers can be use as hairclips, ear-rings or even rings. A lot of things can be created with your own idea and creativity. The material to be used are nail polish & soft wire only. It's simple and easy to do.

Birthday

Last week was my sis-in-law birthday. Her boyfriend bought her a white chocolate birthday cake and we celebrated her birthday at home with the kids.

Everytime they is a birthday cake, the kids always assumed the cake is for them, they don't care whether or not is their birthday. They will blow candles & cut cake together.

Last week, we went to The Gardens, Mid-Valley & KLCC. I found out that most of the shopping malls have decorated with x'mas trees and having Christmas sales. I always looking forward to the Mid-Valley Christmas decoration. This year, Mid-Valley has new theme for their Christmas decoration. For The Gardens, their decoration very nice too. But KLCC, always used back the same ugly x'mas tree, no new idea at all, very disappointed.

This is the exchange rate for Zimbabwean dollars to one US dollar. Do you know how to read it?It's should be read as ZWD 642 Quadrillion. Can you imagine USD1.00 = ZWD 642 Quadrillion!!!

According to Central Statistical Office statistics, annual inflation rate for Zimbabwe rose to 231 million percent in July 2008. The month-on-month rate rose to 2,600.2%.

In Zimbabwe, they sale one egg is about ZWD 35,000,000,000.00. I don't know how to survey in this country with this huge inflation rate.

We should be happy, we are in Malaysia and with the only 8% inflation rate.

Does this note look familiar, like we used to burn to our ancestors. Hihihii...

A Relax Sunday

Last Sunday, we spent a whole day at my sis's house. This Sunday was difference from previous Sunday. Previous Sunday KV had to rush to here & there, but this Sunday she was really enjoyed.

A Busy Sunday

Last Sunday was KV & JD Annual Graduation & Concert. This was the final year for KV but first time for JD whose were participated in this concert. Next year KV will be in Primary One. This event was held at Bukit Jalil Golf Club.

In the morning about 7.30am, I sent KV & JD to the venue for preparation & makeup. The event was started at 9.30am with buffet breakfast and the performance began at 9.45am.

These two pretty girls whose were the MC. They are a primary student. KV was performed in the first dance together with a group of 5 & 6 yrs old students. The dance titled 'Back to the Future". This dance had won the 2nd prize in the Smart Kids Competition 2008 as well as performed in the Royal Charity Dinner and was witnessed by to the King.

JD was performed in the 3rd dance - Alisan Dance. This was the only dance performed by 3 yrs old students.

KV performed another dance - Indiance Dance. She and her partner were giving a short speech before the dance.

KV received the Maths Star Award from her principal Ms. Annie.

The 12 awarded students lined up on stage. Every subject was awarded to two students, the subjects are BM, English, Mandarin, Maths, Writing & Public Speaking.

The concert was finished at 12.30pm. After the concert, KV rushed to attend the 4th CMA Mental & Arithmetic Competition which was held at Sri Kembangan. After the competition, we went home to let KV has a rest and bath. After that, we returned back to the competition venue to wait for the result. The result was announced around 4.30pm. KV won the 2nd prize in On-Line practises. KV won the 1st Prize in the category of Mental Arithmetic - Grade 7. All the Champions from each grade posed with Ms.Ivy (The CEO of CMA-M'sia) and Master Tai (The founder of CMA).
KV won another 1st Prize. This was from the category of Abacus Arithmetic - Grade 9. KV posed with her 3 trophies.

Abacus & Mental Arithmetic

JD (柞希) going to be 4 next year. I'm planning to send him to CMA for learning Abacus & Mental Arithmetic with KV and KV has been studying in CMA since she was 4.

To enroll in CMA, the child who need to understand, read & write from 0 to 9. They don't have age limitation. If your child is 3 and he/she fullfill their requirement, then you can enroll he /she anytime. From my experience, it is good to learn when they are small. Since JD(柞希) is learning Maths in Kindergarten, understanding & reading from 0 to 9 are not a problem but his writing skill needs to be improved.

Before he can enroll in CMA, now I'm start teaching him some basic of mental arithmetic and to train his writing skills. So that he learn some basic before start the class.

KV & JD(柞希) are doing homeworks together.
This is JD's homework. Last time, I used the same material to teach KV. If you look at the question, do you know the answer? Actually it is simply. Next blog, I'll explain it to you. These are KV's homeworks. The questions are more difficult.

Madagascar Escape 2 Africa

Last Saturday, after KV finished her CMA Mental Arithmetic class, I brought her & JD to McD for lunch. I bought the Melman(Giraffe) headband for KV and the Melman toy (including in Happy Meal) for JD. Actually JD wants Alex (Lion), but the toys were sold out. He had no choice and took Melman.

Nabillah told me that this is a hit movie and every show is full house, even she couldn't buy the ticket last week. So I'm planning to bring my kids to watch this movie next week, if possible on weekday, hope that it will easily to get tickets.

All this while JD(柞希) likes colouring and I did bought some colouring books for him but he doesn't has patience to finish one proper colouring page.

Last weekend, after the incident (drew picture on the wall) and with my encouragement, I felt that JD is more interested in creative work - colouring. Now he manages to complete 3 colouring pages in one time. After completion, JD(柞希) was happy with his colouring pages.

Do you know what is the picture below? This picture was drew by JD (柞希). When I got back from office and i saw this picture on the wall. Then I asked around who drew this on the wall? JD (柞希) answered me immediately without thinking "It's me". Then i asked him, what is this picture, and he told me this is a 'TORTOISE'.

At first I'm very angry because he simply drew on the wall, but after I thought deeply, actually he is very honest (he admitted what he did) and creative too. So I didn't punish him and I told him next time draw on the paper instead of on the wall. He nodded his head.

I have adjusted the contrast of the picture, so that you can see the picture clearly. Lets put in your imagination, it's really looks like a tortoise. The head is on the right-hand-side with two eyes and a long neck. The body & shell on the left-hand-side but no legs. Ha ha haa.

My Collections of cars - James Bond 007 collectible cars. I hope to get the final car ASTON MARTIN DBS from QUANTUM OF SOLACE on 6 Nov 2008. Then my collections will be completed. I didn't plan to buy the customised secret agent briefcase because not worth it and some more later on my collections will become JD's (柞希) toys... Sigh.

Steamboat Dinner

Yesterday, we had a steamboat dinner at my sis's house. My mom bought all ingredients from morning market like fish balls, fish pastes, vegetables, tofu, noodles & seafood.

After dinner, kids playing Nitendo Wii. Even I joined them to play too. I felt that Wii is more exciting than PS2, because I just need to use one hand to control Wii instead of two hands. When I play Wii tennis or bowling, it's just feel like playing a real tennis or bowling (really like exercising). Finished the game, I'm felt very tired and sweated a lot. I think I may consider to buy one so that I can exercise and playing game at the same time, lol.

Little Miss Sari Fancy Dress Competition

Yesterday, KV's teacher Ms. Annie was bought her and another six students to participate in the Little Miss Sari Fancy Fress Competition at IOI Mall. This competition was open to student from age 6 to 12.

In the competition, every contestant has to present a catwalk to show their beautiful Sari and follow by an Indian Dance. KV was spending 1 month to practice this Indian Dance. This was KV first solo dance performance and finally she won the 4th runner-up in this competition.

Weekend

Today, after KV finished her ballet class, we went to The Gardens, Mid Valley. Actually I have planned to buy a pair of ear-rings for KV, bcoz she will be performed an Indian Dance at IOI Mall next Monday which is Deepavali. But I couldn't get one bcoz most of the ear-rings are either too long or too big and not suit her. Finally, we didn't buy any and just spent a couple of hours there and had a drink at Starbucks. I've taken some photos of KV & JD (柞希) while we were at The Gardens.

Indian Dance

KV will be performed an Indian Dance in their Graduation Concert next month. Today they having a photograph session in the school.

KV dressed up with the Indian Dance Costume. The dress was tailor-made to suit her and after the concert, she can bring back home the dress as souvenir. The accessories were sponsored by the teacher, after the concert has to return back.

Magic Hair Clip

About a month ago, I bought a so called Magic Hair Clip for KV. There are few names for this hair clip eg. Hair Clip Magic Butterfly, Beaded Double Stretch Hair Comb Hugger Clip, Korean Style Hair Comb Clip and etc.

These combs are specifically designed to allow them to bend in and out of shape easily, making it suitable for most hair types. Each hair clip is hand made therefore slight variations may occur in the colour of the beading. The beads are strung on stretchable bands with two combs, one on either side. The one I bought is 2" combs. They do sell 3" combs which are suitable for adult.

Yesterday we went to Mid Valley and visited the Panasonic "Eco Ideas, Home & Audio Visual Solutions Exhibition". The exhibition was to showcase Panasonic’s eco-friendly products.

There got few products that I'm very interested eg. 1)Nanocare Hair Dryer that can remove excess sebum and protect hair cuticles with Nano sized moisture ions; 2)Eyelash Curler bcoz the promoter tried on KV's eyelashes and the result quite good; 3)Wall Fan; 4)LCD TV & 5)Digital Camera.

My Birthday

Last Saturday was my Birthday. We went to Winter Warmers Coffee House for hi-tea with my sister and her kids; Jun Yin & Jer-Rick.

A small accident happened there. We ordered 2 sets of Hi-Teas which came with mixed fruits cocktails, sandwiches, cookies, cheese cakes, scones & frutis. If you look at the photo, you will noticed that they served cocktails with the cocktail glasses. The accident happened was Jer-Rick (my sister younger son) after finished the drink, he still biting the glass. As the result he was accidently broke the glass with a hard bite.

At first, my sister still doesn't know the glass has broken, until he told her: "Mommy, the glass has broken", then only my sister realised that his month still biting the broken glass. So I and my sister very panic and didn't know what to do, just asked him to spit out the broken glasses and ask him don't swallow anything. We gave him some water to gargle and spit out, repeatly few times and to make sure no more glasses in his month.

Luckily he didn't get hurt and the glasses didn't scratch his month. The moral of the story is don't let your kids drinking using glasses, and don't allow your kids to bite the cup while drinking, it is very dangerous.

At night, we had dinner at The Zun Kitchenette (尊厨), Shaw Parade. We ordered the healthy set dinner. All dishes are less oily and no msg added, very healthy.

The set menu included 10 small bowl of superior herbal soups (you can choose 10 different types of soup if you want), steamed pomfret fish with 'dang gui', crispy chicken with red wine sauce, stir fried shrimps with dried scallops & egg white, braised beancurd & luffa melon with 'gei zi', steamed meat paste with 'huai shan', stir fried kai lan & olive veg. with 'yu zhu' and two types of desserts. Before the dinner start, they served us a cup of iced apple vinegar. Pls refer to the following photo.

Buka Puasa at KL Tower

Last Friday, we had a dinner with our Muslim colleagues at KL Tower. From Jln Ampang, we spent one and the half hour in traffic jam and reached there 7pm. Our Muslim colleagues just on time to buka puasa up in the sky... hahah! The beautiful KL view.
This was my first time been to KL Tower. This photo taken inside the restaurant. Actually the food there was not nice and not worth RM150 per pax. What i'm thought was we paid for the environment and KL scenary but not the food.

Happy Birthday to HM

Yesterday was HM's birthday. We celebrating her B'day at The Gardens. This time we brought KV & JD (柞希) along. We had Taiwanese food there. Taste & services were good. One thing, this restaurant accept CASH only, luckily I brought enough cash ... heheh!

The food included tea smoked duck with glass noodles, BBQ chicken drumstick with rice, Taiwanese style chicken chop with noodles, fried sliced beef in claypot with rice, sweet potato balls, baked sausages, hot taiwan oolong tea and peanut ice (剉冰).

Need a Break

Last weekend, I had dinner with HM at Sagano. This was the 2nd times we've been there. The first time was last year to celebrate HM's B'day, we had buffet lunch. This time we went there for no celebration but just want a peaceful & quiet dinner, haahaa =). (w/o kid's disturbance)

I think every parent wish once in a while to have a short break and enjoy their own sweet times without their children disturbance. The break can be long or even short as few hours, as long as to get rid of their kids. I & HM really really really enjoying these few hours break.
Back to dinner, I ordered a Gyuniku Teriyaki and Tempura Set (Grilled beef with teriyaki sauce and mixed tempura) The set served with appetizers, steamed egg custard, steamed rice, miso soup and green tea ice cream with fruits.HM ordered Oyako Don (simmered sliced chicken, egg and onion served on steamed rice)... sorry no picture :)

We have finished all the food. So, I no need to comment lah and you will know how delicious was the food. Y-U-M-M-Y !!!

Graduation & Concert 2008

Last Sunday, KV was performanced in the Willian & Luisa DanceWorld - Graduation & Concert 2008. The theme of the dance was Marching Princess. The whole group really put in effort in this performance and they had been practising since the past two months. Thanks to teacher Luisa & teacher Jovita for their effort too.

Mooncake Festival 中秋节

Yesterday 八月十五, we celebrating Mooncake Festival. As usual, we have prepared mooncake & fruits for praying. Normally we will buy some vege-mooncakes (素月饼) for praying, but this year my parent decided to buy extra mooncakes. So after dinner we went to 5 bakery & confectionery shops to buy mooncake, but all mooncakes sold out. Finally we got the Six Happiness' Mooncakes from Chinese Herbalist Shop ... funny hor!

These the stuff we used for praying... got mooncakes, oranges, apples, pears, plums, peaches, grapes, pomelo, flowers, peanuts, baby yams, 菱角 and chinese tea.

Lunch

I found a new place for lunch - NZ garden Cafe. It's located next to Selangor Dredging, Jln Ampang. The cafe likes high-class mamak stall. They serves local & some western food. The price range from RM2 to RM20. No air-cond but got fans and not stuffy. The place quite comfortable & cozy.
I ordered nasi goreng - RM5.00. Got some vege & small prawns. The taste was good and something different from Cozy house. The waiter will give you this card while making the order. Need to present this card to the cashier when making payment. The card treats like a bill.

KV's Part-time Hairstylist

I bought these two brushes two weeks ago at Watson - a Vidal Sassoon's Ceramic Straightening Brush and a Ceramic Round Brush. These two brushes help to straighten, add shine and not damaging to the hair. The total cost for these two brushes was less than RM50.

With the help of these two brushes, I manage to dry KV's hair very easily.

Busy Saturday

We spent the last weekend at The Gardens. We reached there about 12pm and met my brother, sister-in-law & their daughter Shayn-E at the lower ground food court. We had porridge, 'yau zha guai', soy milk & 'tau fu fa' for lunch. After we have taken the lunch, we just hang out there and my sister-in-law went to salon to trim & rebonding her hair.

We left from The Gardens at about 6pm and went to Kg Kayu Ara which is nearby Bdr Utama for seafood dinner. My sister & bro-in-law met us there. We finished the dinner and reached home almost 9pm. What a busy Saturday!

Wherever he is, JD (柞希）always carrying his toy cars along. He likes to line-up his toy cars on the table.

Watermelon Mooncake

Last Saturday, I went to Mid-Valley with my family. I passed by one shop which selling fruitmooncake and I saw this very cute moon cake - Watermelon. The watermelon moon cake's crust is 'snowskin' (冰皮) with watermelon flavour and the fillings are lotus seed paste mixed with dragon fruits. The taste was nice, not oily and not so sweet.

I bought the apple moon cake as well. The apple moon cake's crust is 'snowskin' with apple flavour and fillings just as normal moon cake, lotus seed paste with a yolk.

Trip to Sungai Petani, Kedah

Last Friday, I went to Sungai Petani with HM, KV & JD for 2 days 1 night trip. The purpose for this trip was because KV participating in the mental arithmetic competition.

Before we went to Sg. Petani, I thought Sg. Petani is a small & rural town. But when I reached there, it was totally different from what I thought earlier.

Sungai Petani (abbreviated "Sg. Petani" or "SP") is a town in the state of Kedah, in the northern part of Peninsular Malaysia. Sungai Petani is the second largest town in Kedah after Alor Star. The name Sungai Petani has its roots from sungai meaning river and petani meaning farmer in the Malay language. Sungai Petani in full means "Farmer's River", due to the huge concentration of paddy fields and farmers in the state.

The town is clean and foods are not expensive. We stayed in Park Avenue Hotel (PAH) which is next to the Sg. Petani (South) Tol. A few hotels is near PAH within the walking distance and Giant Hypermarket is just nearby about 5 mins drive. The Store supermarket & GSC cinema is just 10-15 mins drive from PAH. Even within 5 mins walk, we can find restaurants, hawker stalls, kopitiam and mini-market, very convenience.

From KL, we stopped by Tapah Tol for a rest and had a breakfast there. The breakfast actually was bought from KL and we had it there and bought drinks from Dunkin Donuts.

We arrived Sg. Petani around 12pm. We stayed in this hotel.

The room cost RM100 nett with king size bed but w/o breakfast. We added a bed cost RM60 nett with one breakfast voucher. So the next morning we just paid RM16 nett plus the breakfast voucher, the whole family had breakfast at the coffee house... so "dai" :)

We had a dinner at the Japs restaurant - Hatsuhana 初花. The menus & price are similar to Kiku-Sakura and NipponTeh. We order one teriyaki chicken set, one teppanyaki salmon set and one agedashi-dofu. The foods were very tasty. The dinner cost RM60.00 and the appetisers, green teas & towels are FOC.
Inside the restaurant, there is a reading corner with varieties of mangas, magazines & newspapers.
On Saturday morning after breakfast, we sent KV to the competition hall. The competition was held at SJKC Sin Kwang. Her tag number was A606. A6 means Category A, age 6.The organiser did prepared a T-Shirt for each category A participant. They have to wear the T-Shirt for the competition, without the T-shirt is no allow to enter the competition hall. Other categories are allow to wear their own clothes.

KV won 4th prize in the competition, she got a tropy too. We left Sg.Petani around 12pm after the prize presentation ceremony.

Next month, on 14 Sep 2008 is the Mid-Autumn Festival. Everywhere selling mooncake, even Starbucks selling mooncakes too. I bought a box of Starbucks' mooncake from Ida, because her sister was bought it for staff price.

Actually I'm prefer to eat tranditional branded mooncakes likes Tai Thong, Overseas, 玉壶轩 and etc ... I bought Starbucks' mooncakes not because of the taste, it was because of the packaging and the ceramic cup :D . In the Starbucks' mooncakes gift box included of 4 pcs mooncakes - Tiramisu, Green tea chocolate, Hazelnut Latte & Berries Cheese.

Graduation & Concert 2008

In May 2008, KV sat for her first RAD Ballet Exam of Pre-Primary. The Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) is one of the largest and most influential dance education and training organisations in the world.

Since KV has passed the exam and now she is in Primary. If possible, next year she can sit for the Primary exam. I hope KV can builds up her interest in ballet and able to continue learning until Grade 5, Intermediate or even higher to Advance grade.

On 20 Sep 2008, KV will participates in the Graduation & Concert 2008 which is organised by William & Luisa DanceWorld. KV has been learning ballet since she was 4 yrs old. This is the first time she takes part in the concert. The ticket for this concert is a bit expensive, cost RM30.00 per adult and without neither dinner nor refreshment. I bought 5 tickets and will go with my parents, mother-in-law and HM. JD is below 5, so he is no need to buy ticket. The tickets that I bought were the first row and the middle seat, very nice seat.

Toyland

JD favourite toys are cars. Everyday he loves to play with his toy cars. Even he will puts a car beside his pillow while he is sleeping, when he wake up, the first thing is to find his car. Wherever he goes, his will carrying his toy bag full with cars.

Yesterday KV helped him to arranging those cars and asks me to take photos for them. In the photos, only part of his toy cars.

Lunch at MED@Marche

Yesterday I went to MED@Marche, Renaissance Hotel with HM for lunch. We didn't bring KV & JD so that we can enjoy our own sweet time there :)

The set lunch was RM49++ per person. The set lunch included appetizer, main course & dessert. Before the waiter take our order, they served us the assorted breads with vinegar & olive oil sauce. I like the sauce very much, because i like vinegar. I even have it with my main course.

Olympics Beijing 2008

There is another 6 more hrs to the Olympics Beijing 2008. I have been so exciting since the past few weeks, because everyday there are so many news reporting this big event. I'm really looking forward to watch the opening to night.

In order for me to support Olympics Beijing 2008, I want to collect some souvenirs and I decided to collect the McD Coca-Cola Contour Glass.

Now I had collected 4 glasses which are Basketball, Swimming, Archery & Volleyball. I have planned to get my final collection (Athletics) by today.

Today, I went to this home & lifestyle exhibition with Jason & Roy. Over 500 booths in this exhibition - from interior designers and decorators to electrical & home appliances, bath & sanitaryware, kitchenware, home furnishing as well as decorative ornaments.

Simple Dinner

Yesterday, we decided not to go out for dinner, so we bought luncheon meat, eggs & baked beans for our dinner.

If not mistaken, this was either the 4th or 5th times she cooked dinner for us since we have been married for 8 yrs.

Even though the dinner was very simple but the important thing was she managed to cooks for us and we had it together and very enjoyed that moment. Even the next day, KV asks her mommy to cooks the same thing for her, she loves it very much.
KV & JD were enjoyed the dinner.

Jae-Drien & Ker-Vie (1)

My 2nd child - Jae-Drien

Now is the time to blog about Jae-Drien. When Ker-Vie was 2 years old, we planned to have a sibling for her. After a month of trying, the gynae confirmed that HM was conceived. So from that time onwards, HM went for monthly check-up, until the final month which was the 9th month, the gynae told us that HM got a slightly high blood pressure. He advised HM to induce a week before the actual due date.

On 28th Apr 05, this time no more watching movie, early morning we get ready and reached Pantai Hospital, Bangsar at 9am. As usual, after the registration, we headed to labour ward and HM gone thru the necessary checked and the nurse put the medication into the vagina to bring on the contractions.

Few hours later, HM started experiencing minor contractions. In the evening, she was in such great pain that she has to rely on the gas for pain relief. HM didn’t asked for an epidural. When Hui Min has fully dilated, Dr Jeremy prepared to welcome the baby. This time HM faced the same situation due to the baby's size; Dr Jeremy recommended the use of the vacuum to assist in easing the baby out of the birth canal. After a few pushed with the helped of the vacuum, Jae-Drien was finally born, healthy and perfect at 4.06kg. He was heavier than KV by 0.26kg. After Jae-Drien out of the birth canal, Dr. Jeremy passed the sterilized scissors to me and asked whether I want to cut the cord, I said ‘YES’ and he guided me where to cut. It was the good & memorable experience for me.

New to this world. The nurse hasn't cleaned him up and has some blood stained on his head.

After cleanning and has a good sleep in the baby cot.

3 days old. Waiting for daddy to settle the bill and check-out.

11 days old. He was enjoying the moment with mommy while changing diaper.

1 month old. Ker-Vie played with Jae-Drien.2 months old. Jae-Drien with baby bunny.

3 months old. He always has a smiling face.

4 months old. He was able to push his head up by himself.

This will be the last blog about KV. Because she has her brother when she was 3. Later i will blog more about her and her brother.

14 mths old. We had dinner at Sheraton Hotel KL. After the dinner, we took some photos before we left. The jacket that she wore was passed from her cousin brother (Jun Yin).

18 mths old. She wore pajamas to celebrate Mid-Autumn festival. She took this photo in front of our house. Her grandma bought her a butterfly lantern.

19 mths old. She took photo with Jun Yin. We had buffet dim sum at Oriental Pearl. Her chubby face seem bigger than Jun Yin.

20 mths old. Her first bike bought by her grandma at ToyCity. Now this big toy became her brother favourite toy.22 mths old. She wore kung-fu pajamas in Jun Yin's house during Chinese New Year. Even though this was not my first time been to Langkawi. I always told my NEW friends that my home town is Langkawi, because every year I will plan a short trip to this beautiful island. But this was the first time, I went to Langkawi with KV. We took this photo at Eagle Square, Kuah Town.

She took this photo at Galeria Perdana, Langkawi. I really love this photo and she doesn't look like 2 yrs old. I bought the orange floral fisherman hat (from Bodygrove) for her when we were in Langkawi, because the weather there very hot and sunny everyday.

So fast, it is KV 3rd Birthday. As usual, we celebrated at Oriental Pearl. From my wedding dinner till my son full-month party, we always celebrating at the same restaurant. We are a royalty customer.

This year, KV chose her own birthday cake; a Power Puff Girl Cake. KV with grandpa, Jun Yin, Jer Rick(Jun Yin's brother) and grandma.

She was 8 mths old. We took this photo at Mid-Valley (North Court) during X'mas. Some beautiful x'mas trees behind us.

She was 9 mths old. We having lunch at Genki Sushi, KLCC. Now Genki sushi already closed down and change to Sakae Sushi. 嗨，往事只能回味！We took this photo when she was 1 yr old. We were celebrating her birthday in the Rest. Oriental Pearl, Bukit Jalil Golf Club. This photo won the consolation prize in Motherhood Magazine. I really love this photo ... artlessly!

NTV 7 The Breakfast Show

Yesterday, Ker-Vie's arithmetic teacher (Ms.Ivy the CEO of the CMA Mental Arithmetic) was invited to a Live show at NTV7. Ker-Vie was asked to accompany for this show. Her classmate Vicki (10yrs old) was invited too.

This interview is to promote mental arithmetic education. CMA is the only mental arithmetic programme that conducts learning two-hand system of Abacus Arithmetic, Mental Arithmetic, Aural Mental Arithmetic and On-Line Practice (E-Learning).

The interviewed started around 9am but we have to be there before 8am. We have reached there early because they need to do some make-up. Once they done with the make-up, they were waited in the holding room until the interview start.

They took photo inside the holding room after make-up. The holding room is located next to the recording studio. Behind the blinds is the studio where they were interviewed. While the interview started, we are watching the show in the holding room thru the plasma TV. Actually we are allow to be in the studio, but we chose not to because we afraid the kids will be distracted. Ker-Vie & Vicky were in there to do some demonstrations. HM & Vanessa (in white shirt) were in the holding room. Vanessa is Vicki's mom.

The holding room is not that big, can accomodate around 8-10 person only. Mr.Ng (Ivy's husband), HM & Vanessa were watching the Live show. After the interviewed , light refreshment was served. The refreshment was sponsored by Sheraton Subang Hotel. We had the refreshment in the meeting room located at 2nd floor.
Here was the refreshment corner. They served assorted fruits & pastries, fried rice wrapped in banana leave, kuih-muih, juices, coffee and tea.
We left NTV7 about 10.30am.

Car Maintenance

Yesterday, I sent my car for a routine check at Toyota Services Center, Sg. Besi. The staff there are very friendly & polite. Especially the advisor Mr.Yap, he is very professional. He explained every little thing in detail to me and estimated a very accurate maintenance cost. My car took about 4 hours to service and I got back my car around 2pm.

My car was sent to this workshop for servicing. I took this photo from the visitor lounge.
Here is the visitor lounge. This lounge very cosy. While waiting for the car, we can enjoy free WIFI, magazines, newspapers, drinks, light refreshment and Astro here.Self-service drinks & refreshment. It is free.

Day 48th till Day 100th of KV

四十八天(48days)大的KV, 已经没有哭要喝夜奶. 每天她最后一次喝奶大该是11PM, 直到第二天6AM才喝早奶, 所以晚上我们有多点时间休息.
她看起来很像招财猫. 喵喵!
四十八天(48days)大的KV, 已经很会笑. 对镜头已经不陌生了.
100天了! ...... 广东人有一个习俗, 100天的BABY要 "开口" 了. 意思说BABY可以吃杂粮. 不过我们还是等到她六个月大才给她吃软食物.

32nd Bon Odori 2008

"Bon-Odori" is a Japanese traditional summer dance festival. Bon-odori means dance festival held in the bon/obon season, in which Japanese invite their sprits of ancestores to this world. In the festival a variety of foods are offered to the spirits of ancestors. The dance is very simple. You can learn with a few minutes practice, and it's absolutely fun.

We often seen the festival in towns and villages across the country in Japan, on summer evening. People wearing "Yukata" gather and join outdoor dance known as Bon-odori in the near-by park or playground. The origin are derived from that farmers were thankful for good harvests in days of old.

I plan to go on this Saturday. This event hold at Panasonic Sports Complex, Shah Alam. The last time I've been there was about 10 years ago with friends. This time I will bring along my family. The event start at 7pm but they allow to go in at 5pm.

Late Night Shopping

Last Saturday, I went with my siblings to Pavilion at about 9PM. At first, we didn't know Pavilion has extended the business hours. We had a drinks at Jade Crystal and after that we went for shopping. We went back at about 11PM.

While we were shopping, we saw this notice and I asked my brother to Q-up for the spin because we have spent RM160 for the drinks. There was a long Q and finally he won a Prize A (7days Entrance Pass to True Fitness). The Pass was useless for him coz he doesn't exercise. Look at his size, you will know :P

On the wheel has four Prize A (red color), four Prize B (grey color) and 1 Special Prize (orange color). The wheel abit tricky, bcoz its never stop at Special prize. Even when its stopped at Special Prize but its will turned back. So weird.
