Trip to Langkawi in May 2008

The name Langkawi is a combination of "Lang" and "Kawi". "Lang" comes from the Malay word helang which means eagle. In the past, the land was a home to innumerable eagles. "Kawi" is Sanskrit for marble, which is found in excess in this part of Malaysia. Both words are joined to form the word "Helangkawi" which ultimately became Langkawi.
We was at the Telaga Harbour Park, outside The Loaf cafe. The place here is very quiet.
This photo was took in the evening time, we were at Awana Porto Malai Langkawi. But we stayed in Berjaya Beach Resort Langkawi.
I loved this place and the beautiful beach. We were at the Four Seasons Resort Langkawi.
This is the entrance of the Four Seasons Resort Langkawi. A lot of lamps hanging on the wall, very unique.
We were infront of the check-in counter (The Four Seasons Resort). The entrance of the check-in counter is on my right-hand side (wooden door).
